Nintendo opened its Nintendo Direct today by celebrating the 40th anniversary of the original Super Mario Bros game launching in Japan, and it rounded out that feature by announcing the latest Yoshi game, titled Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in Spring 2026. It’s the latest Yoshi standalone title since Yoshi’s Crafted World, which was released in 2019.
