Insider Tom Henderson has just broken a new story on the Far Cry franchise, revealing that the long-rumored extraction shooter codenamed Maverick has recently been canceled by Ubisoft. Henderson first revealed the existence of the extraction shooter Far Cry spin-off in October 2023. He also shared a few basic tidbits: Maverick would have been set in the Alaskan wilderness, with players fighting one another, animals, and particularly the harsh weather to survive.
