According to AMD leaker Kepler_L2, AMD’s chipsets for the PlayStation 6 and Xbox Helix consoles have been taped out, suggesting a late 2027 release rather than 2028 as some rumors had implied. Kepler and MLID have both pushed back on that, arguing that the manufacturing contracts, with chip production reportedly scheduled for Q2 2027, are effectively locked in, and that delaying them would cost even more than absorbing elevated RAM prices.
