Eidos Montreal Loses 124 Developers in Mass Layoff, Head of Studio Leaves Amidst “Changing Project Needs”

Eidos Montreal has just suffered another round of layoffs, this time losing 124 developers as “a result of changing project needs and impacts across productions and support teams,” according to the studio in a statement on its LinkedIn page. Eidos’ head of studio, David Anfossi, who has been at the studio for nearly two decades, was a producer on Deus Ex Human Revolution and has been in the head of studio position since 2013 has also left the company.
