Tesla CEO Elon Musk shared his firm’s progress with developing the AI5 inference chip and the need to compete with NVIDIA in a talk with hedge fund manager Ron Baron. Musk, who is one of the biggest players in the AI data center buildout, aims to develop his own chip in order to compete with NVDIA and AMD when it comes to inferencing AI applications.
